Increased cooling output with Rittal LCP Liquid Cooling Package.
The high heat losses associated with AdvancedTCA® boards of up to 200 Watts per slot and up to 3.2 kW with fully populated shelves necessitate powerful, flexible cooling strategies. With the LCP Liquid Cooling Package, Rittal/Kaparel offers targeted cooling from the side panel of the rack. Individual ATCA shelves, as well as fully configured enclosures, can be cooled according to output.
Up to a maximum of three air/water heat exchangers each with a cooling output of 4 kW and a volumetric airflow of 800 m³ per hour may be housed in the LCP - with retrospective upgrades supported at any time. At maximum configuration, this translates into a cooling output of 12 kW and a volumetric airflow of 2,400 m³. The climate control modules draw in cold air directly in front of each computer level - precisely where the heat is generated - and in this way, ensure optimum cooling at both the bottom and top of the enclosure.
