| Kaparel Corporation Announces Thermal Development System for CompactPCI Card Designers |

Kaparel Corporation, today announced the release of their PS3900 Series Thermal Development System. The system is built around the PS3901 (6U front), PS3903 (6U rear) and PS3904 (3U front) load boards, with the KTDS software (PS3902) providing the user with a detailed analysis of every aspect of the system's temperature and airflow dynamics. The PS3900 System consists of instrumentation cards and software equipped with resistive heating array and temperature and airflow sensors.
Up to 42 (21 front & 21 rear) cards may be loaded into a chassis, and may be daisy-chained such that one is the designated host-interface (master) card, while all others are slaves. This configuration allows readings to be accurately obtained from any slot in the system (Airflow +/- 0.2 m/s, temperature +/- 1° C). The PS3900 System was specifically designed for CompactPCI but may be used in any subrack that conforms to the IEEE 1011.1 and IEEE 1011.10 Standards.
